Thompson - 990915-3
Thompson Sub-Machine Gun , produced in Bridgeport, CT., by Auto Ordnance Corporation, during WWII. Arsenal refinished and reworked at some time. Smooth actuator knob, 28 selector switches, finned barrel, stamped rear Lyman sight, detachable rear stock, and "Cutts" compensator. The rear stock is very nice, the rear pistol grips has a few dings, and the foreward grip is pretty beat up. Replacing it would be easy, however, it has been my experience that leaving things like they are, is best. This weapon is still marked "US" Model 1928A1. The letters "US" have not been ground off. Lower trigger housing serial number, matches the receiver serial number. A true WWII weapon. As noted above, the weapon will accept a 50 round Bridgeport "L" drum, (add $1295). A very nice piece and is on the BATF C&R list.
