Thompson - 251014-1
A pretty nice Savage Thompson Sub-Machine Gun, assembled in Bridgeport, CT. during WWII. Although this weapon has been re-barreled, it still has the original finish on the receiver. Fairly rare these days. Smooth actuator knob, early 28 selector switches, finned barrel, stamped rear Lyman sight, detachable rear stock, and "Cutts" compensator. The wood is still in pretty good shape with typical dings and dents. At one time the original barrel chamber was plugged with a small weld. That heat discolored the finish in a spot about the size of a dime on the side of the receiver where the barrel screws in to place. You have to look for it, but it is there. I have some good details in the attached jpeg's of it. I just wanted to make sure that you are aware of it. Nice markings, including the flaming bomb. The jpeg’s make the finish look like a gray parkerize, but in reality it is more of a flat black oxide finish. Supplied with a 30 round WWII magazine, but shown with a 20 round box magazine, as well as an original WWII Bridgeport 50 round "L" drum. An original WWII drum is available for an additional charge. This is a nice piece of history and functions flawlessly.
